Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 43 yrs old diagnosed with fibroids n ulcer in my uterus. I have mannorageah. and now for the past 6-7 months I frequently get some blood with thick discharge. Is it due to the ulcer or fibroids? Also do I have to be concern about the ulcer of being cancerous?
The thick discharge may mean that there is an infection along with the other issues (fibroids and ulcer).
This may mean that you may just need a course of treatment for it to resolve but this would have to be confirmed by your doctor.
It is possible that an ulcer can become cancerous in some persons but this is usually a very slow change that would be picked up by your monitoring doctor.
I hope this helps
