Suggest Treatment For Fibromyalgia

How do I find a Dr. that will help me with widespread severe fibromyalgia? I have had this very severe condition for 28 years. I have been to all kind of Drs. before finding out that nothing would help but certain opioid meds along with sevella. Started this in 2005, but since the laws have made it impossible to find any help I hace become bedridden with no quality of life. I cannot live like this much longer. I have never abused medication so why will no one help me? My name is Jane. EMAIL: YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Fibromyalgia is a complex disorder involving muscle, CNS and joints of unknown etiology... characterised by -widespread pain, fatigue and cognitive (memory or thought) problems.

There may be a genetic influence. There is no exact diagnostic clues. It may be diagnosed clinically after ruling out the other diseases mimicking the fibromyalgia. Exact treatment is not found... symptomatic treatment may be considered. However, it is not a fatal condition.

You may feel better with proper self-care, such as exercise and getting enough sleep.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel,
