My medical history has been quite a mess lately. It all started with a rash on my back that no one could explain. Then gradually muscle aches and debilitating joint pain came into play (I can't walk when the pain is in my knees. It hurts too much). What I try to explain to doctors is that there are two kind of pain that I get. There is ALWAYS a burning sensation in my joints and muscles. Then sometimes you feel it all gradually build up and turn into a sharp sensation. Almost like someone driving a nail into a joint (My most affected areas are my wrist, knees, and ankles but I do get them in my elbow back and hip). Now I have breathing problems where I feel like my throat itself is swelling and I feel like I?m breathing through a straw. I do not have any food allergies. A year ago I met my regular family physician and told him about my pain and he ran some blood test. The ANA came back positive and CPK rate came back pretty high. Then a few months later I had to go to the Emergency Room because I had chest pains. My doctor said that it was most likely Costochondritis.I recently found a new rheumatologist who did some more blood test and she said that I have a vitamin D deficiency. And now my leg and arms are starting to "fall asleep". I swear I'm not paranoid. I could be sitting up or laying down or just standing, and my leg or arm will just slowly start to fall asleep. My Rheumatologist is suggesting that all of the pain is from Fibromyalgia. While my regular physician is suggesting Lupus.
My question to you is?¦ Could this really be Fibromyalgia? I have a positive ANA, a CPK leak, a rash on my back, and now breathing problems. If not, then what do you think it is. Could it be Lupus?
