Suggest Treatment For Fissure On Vaginal Area

Well I am having problems with fissures on my vaginal area down near but before my rectum. I just had a Pap smear and it was normal. I am currently in a relationship and we do have sex frequently. Almost every night. Wondering if a probiotic will help me along with a recommended cream? Your thoughts!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to dryness or fungal infection. You should avoid using irritants like soap to wash the area as it is very sensitive part. You can use saline or warm water to clean the area. You can also use intimate wash which helps in normalising bacterial flora and PH. I usually advise ointments or creams with combination of antifungal like clotrimazole, anti bacterial like neomycin and corticosteroid like betamethasone. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
Thanks
