Suggest Treatment For Flailed Chest With Shortness Of Breath

had a motorcycle accident 3 yrs ago ,had a flailed chest ,was treated thelast 2 yrs with a combination of inhalers, I receive no relief what so ever,, stopped using last 2 months,because of no results, whenever I exert any effort more than a walk I get shortness of breath, the more I exert the more labourious my breathing gets,only subsides when I stop or sit down?

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In my opinion you should get done PFT first. As flail chest once healed should not creat problem. And you had this 3 years ago. So rib fracture must have healed by now. So something else is giving you trouble.
So get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) to rule out other causes of breathlessness.
Also start chest physiotherapy with deep breathing exercise.
These will help you more in taking deep breath especially on exertion.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
