Suggest Treatment For Flexor Tendon Injury In Thumb

Yes. What is the tendon in the thumb area that reduces grip and pinch power and what treatment options exist? I sent this an hour ago or more and received no answer. I am not asking for advice only a definition and options that can be identified. I have never used a credit card on line when I do not know what I am purchasing.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Flexor tendon injury which compromise the normal function of thumb need surgical correction usually. In such case there will be major cuts discontinuity or adhesions in tendons.
You may need a minor surgery for this. If there is any discontinuity it will be corrected by suturing. Adhesions if present can be removed during this also. This can be done under local anaesthesia and you can go home the same day. Splinting and immobilization of thumb will be required for 4 to 6 weeks following this.
You can approach an Orthopedician for this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
