Suggest Treatment For Fluctuating BP And Fluttering Feeling In Heart
My blood pressure keeps fluctuating between 175 over 90 to 188 over 98 etc. it goes up and when I sit down it will go down and then go up. I feel my heart feeling weird, funny sensation like my heart is fluttering! I have appts. With cardiologist next two weeks, should I wait
Usually BP does vary in standing, sitting and lying down position by a few mm. However, if the variations are too big plus there are any symptoms felt like giddiness or light headedness and palpitations (pounding heart beat), then it is better if you can visit a doctor in the ER. There is no mention of whether you are taking any medications for high BP if yes what are those. Because if need be the dosage of that medication could be increased so that BP is well controlled, till your appointment date comes. Best is please do visit an ER.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prabhakar Laxman Jathar, Diabetologist
