Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Food
poisoning will resolve depending upon its severity. Generally it resolves in the 4 to 8 hours with supportive care. Food poisoning produce vomiting that lead to
dehydration. Better to meet the physician and assess the sign of dehydration.
As a treating physician, I will give following advises:
- Antibiotics:
Ciprofloxacin along with probiotics
- Take over the counter oral rehydration solution to prevent the dehydration.
- Stay calm. Avoid solid foods. You can take boiled rice with added salt and lemon.
This will help you replenish the fluids and electrolytes. Tablet
Domperidone and tablet
Dicyclomine, take more chicken breast soups, yogurt, curd rice, banana, applesauce and toast.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
