Suggest Treatment For Foot Injury Due To Thumb Tack

about 3 weeks ago I steped on a thumb tack. it has not crusted yet however no infection is apparent I am a 65 year old male type 2 diabetic. Is there any thing I can purchase over the counter to speed up healing ?.Should I refrain from drinking alchohol.?

i understand your concern.As you are a diabetic,you need to be extra precautious about these small things.
i would advice you to follow these steps:
1.You need to take a tetanus toxoid injection as soon as possible.
2.Also keep the area clean and dry,so that wound will heal fast.
3.Apply antibiotic cream thrice a day on the area.

Above all these,your blood sugars should be under control, for the hastening of wound healing.
