General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Forgetfulness can effect our daily life as well as our jobs. However the causes are many, and need detailed assessment. In your case it may be recurrent small strokes, ageing, anxiety, or rarely the lipid drug can cause it. So you should see a neurologist for proper assessment and management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
