Suggest Treatment For Fournier's Gangrene

I am a medical practioner in India. Several days back I had a patient who had a triveal truama and pain in the scrotum. I treated hm with antibiotics and analgesics. But after 10 days he was diagnosed with fornier's gangrene by another doctor. He asked me why I did not diagnise the disease earlier. Please tell me if I could have diagnsed the disease with the above said symptoms. Also kindly tell me how earliest can we be able to diagnise Fornier's disease

Hi thanks for asking question in HCM.
Fournier gangrene usually present with prodromal symptoms like fever and lethargy for 2 to 6 days.
In this gangrene usually pain is severe and examination of geniralia seems very tender.Pruritus may be present.
With the advancing days pain increasing and redness also increases.
The wound start purulent discharge in few case.
So patient like in your case can be followed up after 4 to 5 days to see patients condition improving or deteriorating.
I hope this is what i can advise.I hope my suggestion will help you.
I find this answer helpful
