Suggest Treatment For Fracture In My Finger

I broke my Pinky toe on my left foot about 6 wks ago. I went to a Orthopedics Dr. And he had to set my toe. Been buddy taping and wearing Med Shoe since until last wk. Have noticed the top of my foot is red, on all my toes, and foot is red a little past my ankle. Is that normal with a broken toe?
