Suggest Treatment For Fracture Of T6 And T7 Vertebrae

yes please we need some answers. My husband had an accident which he incurred several injuries. One was a broken back involving T6 and T7 plus 11 broken ribs. He had surgery and is now in a brace that he has to wear whenever he sits up or is walking. This happened around 6 weeks ago and we are seeing his medical doctor but for some reason can't get in to see a specialist for 6 months . We are wondering where we go from here
