Suggest Treatment For Fracture Of Cuboid Bone

Slipped onto my back in bath snd smashed foot up into tap been a and e today by ambulance very swollen on top of foot. They said unlikely it's broken but they x rayed and said I fractured my cuboid and were surprised I had saw on xray looked like about a 1cm or more line. now in plaster and seeing fracture clinic tmrw. On painkillers it hurts what's my prognosis? Will I need plaster or boot?
