Suggest Treatment For Fractured Cuboid And Nerve Damage

I had a convulsion injury 4 weeks ago fractured cuboid, I wore an air boot for 3 weeks. Consultant did not ask to see m again but I have had to attend physio. My physio says I have some nerve damage. The last 2 days the swelling around the cuboid has returned and the burning achy pain is awful, is this normal or should I return to my doctor

Hi,

I feel the physio exercises you did were not suitable for your fracture position. You take complete rest. Raise the foot up by keeping on a pillow, ice pack can help reduction of swelling (if it suits you). Over the counter anti inflammatory pills like Ibuprofen taken twice a day after food would give you some relief. After some relief, if there is no relief in two days, consult your doctor for needful assistance for displaced fracture segments or nerve damage. A proper package of physiotherapy exercises can be advised by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
