Suggest Treatment For Frequent Headaches With Vomiting Sensation
Hi Doctor, This is Wahitha, age 25, height 5.5feet, 78 kg. I am suffering from frequent headaches from afternoon till late evenings. The pain starts from back side of my head and ends in fore head over a span of time say 4 to 5 hours. I also have vomiting sensation. I am wearing specs from childhood and had my last eye check up last July. Kindly suggest me how do I proceed further.
It is good to know that you had an eye check up done. Presently you are getting headache which starts from the back of the head towards the front associated with vomiting sensation. These are classic symptoms of tension headache. If left untreated may complicate to migraine. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP to rule out occipital neuralgia and cervicogenic headache or hormonal migraine.
You may have to do few blood workouts and imaging tests. You are suggested to stay well hydrated. Cut on addictions if any. Take adequate sleep. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Avoid oily fried food & maintain your eating time table. You can take NSAIDS and muscle relaxants for relief. Physical therapy and massage are effective. Take showers regularly and stay in dim lighted comfortable room.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
