Hi. I would like to look for nesidioblastosis or insulinoma if basic issues like blood parameters for liver and kidney function are normal. So, once this is normal, you may go ahead with measuring c peptide level, insulin level , sugar level and glucagon level at the time of hypoglycemic episode. This will help you differentiate between various causes of hypoglycemia including factitious hypoglycemia which is also an important differential among young patients.
