General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Frozen shoulder is called 'adhesive capsulitis', which is nothing but stiffness, pain and limited range of movement about the shoulder joint. The condition usually is of slow onset, and then goes away slowly over the course of a year or more.
Treatment for frozen shoulder usually starts conservatively with nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Ibuprofen or Diclofenac and application of heat to the affected area, followed by gentle stretching. Physiotherapy can help increase the gain of range of motion.
If conservative treatment is not helping, arthroscopic surgery is sometimes done to loosen some of the tight tissues around the shoulder.
Kindly consult Orthopedician for appropriate evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
