Suggest Treatment For Full Body Swelling And Arthritic Pain

My daughter is swollen with plaque psoariasis and arthritic pain. She has been suffering with this for 2 months straight now. She does not look like herself anymore, her face , ankles, legs, literally whole body is swollen and covered with patches, nose bleeding, can barely walk, unable to sleep, depressed, just in a really bad way. Doctors in emergency want her to wait and see a dermatologist. They also gave her steroids to take, it seems like her condition is getting worse...her mom...

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what your daughter had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, she can be having complications of psoriasis-like psoriatic arthritis and may need pulses of immunosuppressive therapy and a detailed Rheumatologist review as soon as possible.

However, psoriasis can be associated with raised uric acid levels and may present like same symptoms so uric acid levels may be needed.

Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with antihistamines like cetirizine for itching may be needed. Topical steroids and liquid paraffin and vaseline solution may be needed for psoriasis control.
