Suggest Treatment For Fullness Of Left Pelvicalyceal System
Hi, My infant is 2 months old and in his recent renal and bladder sonography we faced with fullness of left pelvicaliceal system is seen (AP diameter of pelvis is measuring 10 mm in this study) . And the sonographyst recommended further evaluation especially for UPJ stenosis & reflux; Me & my wife strongly wanna know the treatments for this event which concerned us. Your advice will be appriciated. Thanks
Fullness of left pelvi-calyceal system can be due to dilatation caused by back pressure changes. Back pressure changes in an infant can be due to stricture or obstruction. I suggest you to consult your pediatrician and get renal function test as well as examination of entire urinary tract.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
