Hello and welcome to HCM,
Fungal infection occurs when any body part remains wet and it does not dry.
Fungal infection of skin only takes around 4-6 weeks to clear.
Fungal infection of nails takes longer time to clear, around 8-12 weeks.
Thus, fungal infection needs to be treated with appropriate anti fungal for specified period of time.
If the treatment is for less duration, the infection may not clear and recur.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your dermatologist and take treatment for appropriate period of time.
The infection is common during summer months because accumulation of sweat is more during these months.
Drying of the skin and use of anti-fungal powder is recommended for prevention of fungal infection.

Thanks and take care
