Suggest Treatment For Gall Stones And Vomiting

I have been diagnosed with gall stones via an ultra sound my only symptoms have been cyclic vomiting over the past 4 years a couple times per month I chalked it up to stress as it mainly occurred after eating supper I thought I had eaten too fast didn t chew enough and food got stuck in the esophagus so I went to a gastro doc who had me do an endoscopy then the ultra sound and a gastric liquid and solid emptying test. Can I have developed the stones over such a length of time and never experienced any pain with them??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.

Gall stones mostly go unnoticed until it becomes symptomatic (fever, abdominal pain). These symptoms occur when the stones cause obstruction and lead to infection of the gall bladder.

-what were the results of your endoscopy and other tests?
-how old are you? What is your height and weight?
-do you have any other medical issues? Or take any medications?
--any other symptoms? (fever, loose stools, heart burn)

Vomiting could be due to stress, gastritis, indigestion. But if it has lasted this long, it needs to be checked out.

I recommend :
-a physician /gastroenterologist Consult
-blood tests (complete blood count, liver and kidney function tests)
- Have home made meals. Avoid caffeine (or limit to one cup a day), carbonated, sugary drinks, spicy food.
Avoid refined and processed foods. Include whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. Nuts, sprouts are Good sources of protein and fiber.
Drink plenty of water (unless contraindicated by any other medical illness you may have), about 3litres a day. Practice calming deep breathing exercise that you can do anytime.
Try to squeeze in about half an hour of exercise (walking) a day whenever you can. Quick 10minute sessions will do. They work wonders As stress busters
Please consult your doctor before you start exercise.
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
