Suggest Treatment For Gallbladder Polyps

Dear Doctor, I was diagnose having a gallbladder polyps. My gastroenterologist Dr., advice me to have it remove soon because one of the polyp is 8mm. I had my ultrasound done last March 2. He told me that he s going to refer me to a good surgeon here in Austin, but until now I didn t received yet any call. I feel like bloated and don t feel good. I m too very much worried about my condition. Also I want a second opinion. Please advise me. Thank you.

Hello

GB polyps are growths that develop from mucosal lining of gallbladder. Though polyps can be cancerous they rarely causes cancer.Majority of gallbladder polyps are benign in nature.
Generally this condition only require follow up scan.

Since polyps are symptomatic in your case,it may require cholecystectomy(surgical removal of gall bladder).
