Suggest Treatment For Gallstone

I ve been told that I have a gallstone, which was picked up on the CT. Right now I think I m having a gallstone or rather gallbladder attack . How long should I wait before I go to the emergency room ? I had some cheese and some dried salami, and typically, I don t eat those fatty foods. I m in pain at a level of a 6 to 7. But, I don t have nausea or a fever. This started about six hours ago with pain to my epigastric area, now it s migrated to under my right ribs . Shall I wait it out? It seems to be subsiding a little bit after aspirin and Rolaids.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may wait an hour or two for the pain to subside. If you still feel bad you should go to emergency room for evaluation. Surgery may be an option for treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
