Suggest Treatment For Gas Feeling In Chest Area

I have this feeling of trapped burps around my chest area, it varies from lower chest to upper chest and sometimes I have a feeling of suffocation in my chest but it doesn t affect my breathing - I can breathe normally. But lately i have been disturbed constantly by these trapped burps, and I burp a lot these days but still have a feeling of a trapped burp. Sometimes I feel a little better but there s something almost all the time. These things have been there since more than 2 weeks now. I am taking Domperidone and Esomeprazole since a few days

Hi,

Noted your history of getting disturbed by constant feeling of and actual burping, taking Esomeprazole and Domperidone.
This indicates the there may be an additional reasons as you are already taking a proper treatment.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get an Upper GI Endoscopy.
H pylori test.
CT scan of abdomen and chest to see any extrinsic compression or so.
Barium swallow.
All these will help to get a proper cause other than acidity and GERD.
Change of lifestyle.
No stress and no anxiety.
Small frequent feeds.
Sleep in reclining position.
Continue medications as before and Domperidone should be taken 8 hourly to be effective.
Identify the foods, beverages and factors that aggravate the symptoms and stop these altogether .
