Suggest Treatment For Gastric Fundal Erosion And Lax Les
I went for endoscopy a year and 3 months ago ... it gave the result as few erosions in fundus ....and lax LES.... have been doing the treatment from that time ...but still the problem is same ..is there any permanent solution for it ...i have been advised to take pantosec and it is going on for an year now
If your endoscopy report shows simple gastritis then I would suggest you to get H. Pylori infection ruled out which can cause gastritis however, if it is erosive gastritis then there is no need for that. The erosive gastritis can be managed by medicines like Pantoprazole which you seem to be taking already. In addition to it, I would advise you to take few precautions and change in lifestyle for it to heal and recover completely. Avoid alcohol and avoid smoking if you are into it. Avoid spicy and oily food. Eat light but frequent meals, every 3 hours or so. Continue Pantoprazole as advised by your treating doctor. You may have to take it for a long time, may be years.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
