Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Treatment For Gastritis And Lower Abdominal Pain
I am having lower abdominal pains, i.e. gas pains. I feel like I have to have a stool, but only have gas; yet I am having regular stools. I had fallopian tube cancer in 2015, with 6 rounds of chemo. My last chemo was Nov 2015. I still have a port and have bloodwork each month. My last bloodwork showed that my CA 125 is now 62.5, in the danger zone. I had a CT scan today, waiting for results on Monday. Please give me your opinion of what might be going on. I hope its not cancer again.
The CT scan result will tell in detail how is the anatomy of the organs in the lower abdomen and will identify any possible problems with the uterus or ovaries.
Meanwhile a possible cause of the abdominal pain and the feeling like you have to pass stools but you can't might be due to constipation so you may try to have some more fiber with diet and extra fiber supplements as over the counter in the pharmacy to use daily to help stools to get soft and easy to pass. Lactulose syrup 2 table spoons a day might be helpful as well.
I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards, Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
