Suggest Treatment For Gastritis

My son is 24. He is in great shape 6ft tall. The past few months he keeps feeling faint and his stomach bothers him. He has gone to the dr and had an endoscopy which shows gastritis they say. He will see a cardiologist next week. He had blood work done and everything is great. He is on Zantac but nothing has helped him. It comes on like an attack. One time, he was at the gym. One time in line at Disney and it was hot. One time, at a concert. He went to the emergency room to get a second opinion and they say the same thing. He is a CPA. He is getting very frustrated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
First of all one thing keep in mind ( brain ) that frustration will further aggravate acid secretion or gastritis .
Over eating , anxiety untimely food also causes gastritis .
These measures may help :
Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. It also might help to avoid eating or drinking for 2 hours before your son lie down. To help control stomach acid one should not drink alcohol or drinks with caffeine in them or eat chocolates or spicy or greasy foods. Also take some antacid ( better , if it contains OXETACAINE) .
As he is also taking ranitidine so take it regularly or switch over to pantoprazole-d twice in day .
When such patient visit I prescribe them to take "REBAMIPIDE " 100 mg 2-2 -2 ( two tablet thrice in a day ) for 3-6 months .
As I mentioned above hyper acidity ( gastritis ) developed by over eating , tension , stress , anxiety , so take care also.
Hope this will be useful for your son.
