Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

In case you suspect that you are suffering from any sexually transmitted disease (STD), I suggest you to get clinical assessment and investigations for STDs. In the meanwhile, you should avoid unprotected sex and practice protected sex only. Whether your previous partner was infected or not, is difficult to comment, however, you should concentrate on your health status currently.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
