Suggest Treatment For Green Color Vaginal Discharge
I think I have a bacterial infection. My vagina has been really itchy. I ve had this grey/green colored discharge. And my vagina looks like it s covered in dry skin but really it s the dried discharge. Is there anything I can do to make it a little more comfortable?
Green color vaginal discharge is commonly indicative of Sexually transmitted diseases. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get STD tests done. You will be treated with a course of Ceftriaxone, or other antibiotics and antivirals if required. Green color discharge per vagina is caused by trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, bacterial vaginosis, etc.
Take care of your hygiene, avoid any sexual activity for a couple of days. Avoid multiple partners. Always perform safe sex. You can use vaginal lubricants for dry vagina. You can also take vitamin E rich food or supplements. Take adequate amount of fluid and water. Keep yourself well hydrated. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
