Suggest Treatment For Growth In Nose Of Child

My 6 year old daughter has a growth in her nose. She was born with it and it s right at the tip of her right nostril but inside the nose. In fact unless she looks up you can t see it just looking at her. Anyway sees seen ent doctors but none are sure what it is. They have ideas but just aren t sure the only thing they all ages in is it isn t cancer. Also I look at it almost daily and it hasn t changed color since birth and also it only grows with her nose. The first doctor she saw after being a few months old said it was extra cartilage. I can have her get an mri but I m terrified of putting her under. What could it be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

She does not need general anesthesia to have an MRI but would likely only be given medication to make her sleepy so that she would stay still for the imaging so you can consider having the test done.

This test would be able to carefully outline the mass so that a final diagnosis can be made.

I hope this helps
