Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Saddiq ul Abidin. I have read your question completely, I understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

Your symptoms and tests are quite conclusive, so a prompt need of an appropriate therapy becomes mandatory, however it would have been more appropriate if we had known, what sort of tests have you undergone? like an OGD biopsy and its histopathology, Antigen detection in the stool or a urea breath test? Because each one of them carries different sensitivity and specificity.

However since history is so suggestive so, the need for eradication regimen for H. pylori is mandatory.

Many regimens have been devised over the years based on different guidelines and all of them have shown to be effective. If i were your physician, I would have started you on triple regimen, including omeprazole 20 mg twice daily, amoxicillin (1 g twice daily) and clarithromycin (500 mg twice daily) for 10-14 days. A 14 days therapy has been shown to have a higher eradication rate.

I would also advise you to avoid taking spicy foods or irritants of stomach mucosa like alcohol, carbonated drinks, high caffeine hot beverages and avoid eating too much. Try to decrease the amount but increase the frequency of the diets. Also taking a brisk walk after meals can increase gastric emptying and decrease your symptoms of bloating.

I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer. Otherwise rate before closing the discussion

Regrads.
