Suggest Treatment For Hairline Fracture In The Lower Back

I bent over and picked up a tag off the floor at work. As I started to come up my back went on me, the pain of it took the wind out of me. I've had sore back before but NOTHING like this, when I was 8 (7 years ago) I had a hairline fracture in my lower back. When it happened I could barely walk and I had pain in my upper thighs. I ended up being taken to hospital, they didn't do any scans and only had a quick feel and just gave me painkillers. The painkillers have pretty much done nothing for the pain. Since it happened I have noticed an increase of urination, nausea (feeling like I'm going to be sick), feeling of hot flushes, also I discovered that where the pain is my back has swollen, there is minor bruising and on the left side there is a clear bulge and when compared to the other side the bulge feels hard to touch. _Could my symptoms suggest something more serious than pulled muscle/slipped disc???
