Suggest Treatment For Hand Tremors While On Carbidopa

I was taking Carbidopa/Levodopa 50-200 for months, and suddenly had 2 days of constant shaking in my right arm and difficulty regulating my body temperature. The doc cut the dose in half, and I took 1 this morning and am still shaking and cold. I have a call in to my doc, but I don t know what to do. I can t think of anything that changed in the last 3 days except today s drop in medicine strength.

Hello,

You may not cause hand tremor may taking not sufficient dose or taking the tablet with protein food may decrease efficacy.

It may be due to on and off phenomenon. You have to take the dose every 6th hourly. Also, take COMT and MAO -B inhibitors to reduce the early wean off of the dopamine.

But dose may vary from individual to individual. If symptoms not improved please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
