Suggest Treatment For Hard Lump In Groin Area

I have a hard lump in my groin area, where my thigh meets my groin. It hurts when touched, especially when panties or leggings rub it. I ve had it a couple times, and usually it s quite small, goes away quickly, and doesn t irritate too much, but this time, it s about the size of a dime, elongated, and painful. Do you know what it could be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Is it feels like on the skin or beneath the skin? If beneath skin, this might suggest a lymph node enlargement, which can happen following minor infections in the corresponding limb or perineum. As this is recurring, I would recommend consulting your doctor during next episode to see what exactly is going on.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
