Mucus is very hard. Some times it is very difficult to speak. Words wrongly heard to others. How to clear mucus. Is it any way by passing rays on it and clear by the doctor without operation. I am mentally not prepared to go for operation. My nostril was operated twice already. Please suggest how can i come out with my problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Mucus in the throat can cause a problem. It is usually due to post nasal drip of mucus to the area.

Post nasal drip can be due to infection or allergies. If the problem is present for more than a few weeks then allergies is most likely.

If you can identify the source of the allergies then you can use reduce or eliminate your exposure to it.
Eg one patient had allergy testing and realized bananas were the problem

The use of anti histamine/decongestant combination may help along with a topical steroid nasal spray.
The spray may require a prescription.

I hope this helps
