Suggest Treatment For Hard Spot Under Foot After Stepping On Screw

I stepped on a screw in the fall of my foot approx. 3 months ago. It s now not a hard spot/budge there that is very painful to walk on. My doctor(PA) had X-rays done to make sure there was nothing in it and there wasn t. What do you think it could be?

Thanks for posting your query on HCM
Apparently you have developed an abscess at the site of the injury sustained while stepping on a screw.
Since the the doctor had suspected some foreign body so he ruled it out by taking x rays of the foot.
Now since the swelling hurts you so much that you can not walk, so it looks like there is an abscess in the foot which needs to be surgically drained under local anesthesia.
