Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto S Thyroiditis And Being A Diabetic
I have just been diagnosed with Hashimoto s thyroiditis and would like to know if changing your diet is necessary. I generally eat healthy meals. I am diabetic, but It is under control with oral medications. I have an apt soon with an endocrinologist but I wanted to learn a little more about the disease
1. Since hashimoto thyroiditis is an Autoimmune disorder thus apart from checking with thyroid function you should be examined and investigated for RA, Vitiligo, SLE.
2. As there will be auto antibodies against your thyroid gland thus your Endocrinologist will be in better position to prescribe specific management of the same.
