Suggest Treatment For Having Rapid Heart Beat

I had 4 puffs of ventolin within the space of 3 hours (slightly more) and it has been 3 hours since my last puff but my heart has been beating very fast since. Its doesn t feel like a heart rate, its not irregular, just very regularly rapid with constantly pounding at a regular rate but very forceful I can feel it in my chest just going crazy. I ve tried staying still, distracting myself, drinking water, but my heart is still very very rapid, heart rate of above 130bpm and if I move its even faster.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Rapid heart rate while suffering from pulmonary artery disease sometimes can be indicating towards underlying heart disease.

It’s recommended for you to get a basic cardiac evaluation done which includes an ECG & Echocardiography and consult a cardiologist for further management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
