Good evening, I have had a continuous, moderate headache for the past two and a half weeks. It is accompanied by a deterioration of vision. It has progressed to the point that I cannot drive safely. I am having blurred vision and double vision particularly at a distance. I have no other significant symptoms. I am seeing my GP tomorrow and my optometrist the following day.
You need complete eye examination including refraction and fundus.Exclude diabetes and hiper tension. You have not given your age.You might be approching pres biopic age. While giving correction near vision should be examined.During fundus examination cataract should be excluded.Ocular muscle movement should be noted.Cover taste to detect phoria should be done.Any deffect or abnormality detected should be treated accordingly. With this treatment I hope all of your problem will be solved. While taking new correction you ensure that there is no blurring of vision and you should not have any problem while driving.Use artificial tear drop 3 times daily.
With these problems refraction is to be done first.Since you have not given your age it appears you have got anear vision problem. In refraction whatever deffect is detected, should be corrected properly.Near vision correction if required should be given.Occular muscle movement should be recorded to detect phoria, cover test should be done.Intra occular tension should be measured if higher tension is recorded then treatment for Gluacoma.Occular muscle excercise should be done to improve power of accommodation. You are also having ophthalmic migrane. For this start taking 1 tablet Migranil and increase up to 6 tablet till symptom are controlled.
