Suggest Treatment For Headache And Dizziness

My daughter has headaches, under weight, sometimes dizziness, feels like fainting, abnormal menstrual cycles and temperamental, and tired all the time was wondering if that would have anything to do with her thyroid considering there s family history of thyroid issues.. If you would have an answer for this question if you could get back with me. Thank you Jlk

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Thyroid disease can affect the weight. An increase in thyroid hormones can cause weight loss and a decrease can be associated with weight gain.

It can also have an effect on menstrual cycles as well but is not likely involved in the change in temperament, fainting and dizziness.

You can consider taking her to her doctor to have her hormone levels assessed and also to determine the cause of her symptoms.

I hope this helps
