Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Ive had the flu for 3 days, with a cough and tight congestion (unable to cough up), aches, slight stuffiness.but major pain is headache. It keeps me up and nothing seems to work. Ive taken advil, tylenol, decongestants, etc, but it is so painful. Pain seems to have settled in left temple and goes down to back of neck. What can I take? Should I call my doctor? I also feel very fatigued and still slight aches.

Hi and thanks for being part of our virtual clinic!
I need to know your age, gender, if you meantime are taking other medications for chronic diseases, do you have fever?
With the limited info you have given, I can give you some advice :
1. After 3 days with cough and tight congestion yes you need to call your doctor
2. Continuous head aches often related to abnormal rates of BP. It does not go away if we do not fix the main cause factor. Measure your blood pressure. If higher than normal, get checked immediately
3. This strong pain in temple area may be neuralgia , pain from nerve irritations, or cluster headache, or migraines (Pain lasts 4 up to 72 hours). In such cases, you need to be checked to a neurologist
