Suggest Treatment For Headache And Pain In The Stomach When Diagnosed With Endometriosis

My 22 year old daughter called me and said she has a headache, her insides feel like they are burning and she has pain in her ovary area (she has a history with cysts and endometriosis). Neither her regular medical doctor or her gyn have available appointments to be seen, do you have any suggestions on what this might be?

Hi.

This could be a migraine headache which is associated with the menstrual cycle and any abnormalities in it that cause fluctuations in the hormone levels. I would of course recommend a doctors physical consultation, but for now she can try common migraine medications like an oral tablet sumatriptan or propranolol.

Best wishes.
