Suggest Treatment For Headache, Fever And Nausea

My 17 yr old son,who never gets headaches, has had a headache for 3 days and yesterday developed a fever. If he takes ibuprofen or acetaminophen he feels better until the meds wear off.We took him to convenient care yesterday and he was given Augmentin as the PA didn t know the source of his infection and wanted a broad spectrum antibiotic due to his history of having pneumonia several times. He now says he is nauseated once in awhile(maybe due to Augmentin?) I am concerned about meningitis, and wondering if it warrants a visit to the ER? er gets headaches
