Suggest Treatment For Headache , Sore Throat And Cough

Hi, im sick with a headache, a sore throat, and a cough. When I cough, I feel a tightening right above my left hip. It feels like a muscle is contracting really quickly and when I don t cough I can still feel it, but it doesn t hurt, it only hurts when I cough, but I can definitely feel something there constantly. What is this?

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache , sore throat and cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection. Apart from this as you having pain above left hip which is due to myalgia and arthralgia. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination as infection has already spread. You should get throat swab test , viral culture test , complete blood profile to find out extent of infection. You should start with antibiotic such as augmentin along with decongestants and anti inflammatory such as Levocetrizine . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedician if he/ she finds your muscle pain to be severe. For now do warm saline gargles. Take steam inhalation. Take proper rest , keep yourself hydrate. Maintain hygiene. Take diet rich in multivitamins.
