Suggest Treatment For Headache

I went to PCP s while ago for s cyst on side of nose. He thought it was a sybaceous cyst and referred me to a Dermatologist when I saw him he could not really see much but kept me sitting in a chair without much light. That was months ago. It is on side of near eye. It s been bothering me and I m getting lots oh headaches not sure if I wasn t to go back to dermatologist but he said if it gets bigger or hurts to come back. Am I seeing the right type of dr for this?

Hi,

Judging from your description on the location of the cysts I would say it has no relation to the headaches which you mention, such superficial cysts shouldn't be causing any headache. It is hard to judge about the type of headache since you do not provide much information about its characteristics (location, type of pain, duration of episodes, accompanying symptoms, prior headache history etc).

As for the cyst itself, if as I understand it it is a superficial cyst in the outside of the nose than a dermatologist would still be the best specialist. If it's in the inside of the nasal cavity on the other hand than an ENT specialist would be more appropriate.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
