Suggest Treatment For Headache

Hello Dr. I'm Kishhore residing at Chennai. I get headache very often, i consulted Dr.Murlidharan, resident Dr of K.S.Hospital, P.H.Road, Kilpauk, Chennai 600 010 and he prescribed Vasograin for me. After taking Vasograin headache vanishes. I get pain on eyebrows sometimes on left and some times on right. I have been taking Vasograin for almost 2 years. Is it safe to take medicine. thanks for using HCM.
in my opinion you should not take Vasograin daily, as it contains ergotamine, which can cause serious side effect. Now there are more safer alternative available like NSAIDs, Triptans for acute treatment of headache. Also there are preventive medicine like beta blocker/ flunarizine/newer antiepileptics to prevent further episode.
also you try to find out what trigger your headache and then avoid them.
