Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Cough After An Episode Of Fainting
I am a 75 year old male. After a fainting spell in Oct and hitting my head on the floor my MRI (Nov 4) of the head showed a small subdural hygromas. Since then the headaches continue especially with sudden head movement, coughing, or sneezing. And more recently a weakness in my legs attempting to stand from a sitting position requires assistance. Tipsy feeling, walking difficulty, maneuvering around , bumping into furniture and doorways. Difficulties getting in and out of the car etc. shuffling around a lot more. Weakness is somewhat more so on the left side. Dressing requires assistance. No blurred vision or dizziness but very unstable. A second MRI is scheduled on Dec 15th but should this be rescheduled sooner? Plan to see a neurologists after the MRI.
The symptoms are consistent with common causes like migraine or tension headache, as a first line management you can try analgesics like aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
