Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Cyst On Top Of Head

I have what I believe to be a cyst on the top on the head toward the back. It is a under skin, too this to pop but the skin is thin enough where is causes discoloration. It is above the surface about a third of a centimeter or less, it is a little smaller than a dime, but large than the width of a number 2 pencil. Besides that I have these headaches behind my eye around the temple, and on top of the head all on the right side. I also have my wisdom teeth coming in on that side but just barely, my over all question is that I don t know which may be causing the pain nor what I should say when I actually go to the doctors.

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It is possible that you have a subcutaneous cystic area in your scalp and this is a benign cyst. If it has a central opening then it can be an infected sebaceous cyst. Please consult your doctor and inform them that you have notices this small cyst over the head including the details when you first noticed it. Please try and remember the size of the cyst when you first felt ind compare the growth till recent days.

Headache is likely not related to this condition if the cyst is not painful and can have a different cause. Please tell your doctor about the location, nature, type, duration, aggravating and relieving factors of the headache you are having. If required your doctor will suggest a CT scan head to evaluate in detail. Please do not worry.
