Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Hearing Issues
I have recently developed a hearing condition that makes me feel as though I m under water talking and that extends to people talking to me. Several days a go the condition worsened into head aches that emanated from the base of my skull, but only when I was lying down. When I sat up or stood up the severity lessened dramatically. Ear channel and inner ear look normal according to my physician and our district audiologist.
Sometimes hearing issues may arise because of embedded wax in the ear. Get examined physically, you may need an ear wash (should be done by an ENT).
In the meantime you can use Otorex ear drop, apply 2-3 drops three times a day(under an ENT). For headache take Acetaminophen(Tylenol) or Ibuprofen.
1. Hearing loss can also occur due to exposure to loud noise or aging.
2. Damage to the auditory nerve or sensorineural damage.
3. Perforation of the eardrum.
Get examined, evaluated by an ENT. Your treatment (medications or surgery) will depend upon the pathology detected.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
